I am a licensed naturopathic primary care physician and massage therapist. I graduated from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon with my Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine. During medical school, I obtained my massage license and, thereafter, my certification in integrative pelvic therapy. Prior to medical school, I received my Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from The University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
My desire to learn the healing arts and honor the traditional medicine of my Mexican heritage led me to travel and experience naturopathic medicine in different parts of the world. The experiences I gained on these travels drive my passion to share the wonderful healing that nature and massage can offer. My therapeutic approach begins with identifying underlying causes of disease, which stem from social, emotional, physical, environmental, and spiritual factors. With these factors in mind, I work with patients to re-establish the foundations of health with the help of nutrition, herbs, homeopathy, and bodywork.
On this journey with me is my beautiful soulmate and co-owner of Wild Heart Natural Medicine, Dr. Jxxn Montenegro. We share a combined commitment to serving our wonderful LGBTQIA2S+ community and fighting for equality in medicine. When we have free time, we enjoy nurturing our house plants and going on adventures. I also enjoy rock climbing, hiking, trying out new cafes, and learning how to sew historical garments from my favorite time period—the 19th century!
